Merging of History Sections

I suggest that the merging of the formation and service histories alongside the selective merging of some of the battle sections. This would create better organisational structure and decrease the length of the table of contents. IronBattalion (talk) 01:58, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

G'day, if I was writing this from scratch, I would aim to work the formation and service histories in together, but given that this is a mature article I have been reluctant to do this. I could live with it either way. If you do decide to merge the sections, I'd ask that is done in a manner that maintains text-source cohesion and narrative flow.   • Support I can do the whole structural change with only one major change in content, that is to move a small portion of the Formation section to be apart of Gaza. However, since this is massive change of structure compared to the precedent, I'm opening up a discussion to ensure there will be no edit warring with the change due to, as you mentioned, it being a mature article IronBattalion (talk) 08:35, 11 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
