Half marathon paradox
Who was the best male half marathon runner in 1990? Now two different times are mentioned, Céron is stated beating the world record, but Moneghettis time is a couple of seconds better. A paradox, or is there a logic explanation? Fomalhaut76 (talk) 14:32, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
- Tricky. Céron's mark has been declared world record only retroactively. Back then, both marks (Céron's and Moneghetti's) were probably legal, but Moneghetti's was not eligible for a WR, probably for the same as reason as Mutai's 2011 marathon time (point-to-point and/or downhill course). Just guessing here... GregorB (talk) 21:58, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
