I think I've read somewhere that Newport County didn't just fail re-election, they were actually suspended for one season, which explains why the League was one club short in 1931-32. Interplanet Janet (talk) 16:47, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
- Ah - actually, the reason the League was one club short the following season was because Wigan Borough resigned, but I still think there's a story behind Newport's absence. Interplanet Janet (talk) 16:50, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
