Tacking Point is a suburb of Port Macquarie, a city in New South Wales.
Tacking Point is a popular tourist destination. It is home to Tacking Point Lighthouse, Australia's 13th oldest lighthouse. It is also a popular whale watching site, with 332 humpback whales sited off the coast of Tacking Point in 2018, the highest number in the entire state.[1]
Educational facilities
Tacking Point Public School is the only educational institution in Tacking Point.[2]
