Sreenithi also known as Sree Nithi is an Indian television actress who predominantly works in Tamil television.[1] She is best known for her role as Roja Duraisingam in the soap opera Senthoora Poove which aired on Star Vijay.[2][3]
Controversy
In 2022, Sreenithi made a public statement about a director requesting her to be part of a casting couch practice.[4] She was called in to audition for a role in a big budget big hero film when she was in her teens.[5] A person representing the producer and director then asked her if she is ready for "adjustment". Taking the word literally she had replied that she is a very adjustable type and will take any room they give and also will not fuss about food and travel. The person had then told her that "adjustment" in the film industry is to provide sexual favours in return for the chance to act in good roles. Sreenithi immediately refused the offer and rejected the film offer.[6]
