Cemetery

Help decide if cemeteries are notable at North Church Cemetery, Hardyston. It is up for deletion. --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) 04:28, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

All high schools are inherintly notable, and all malls over a certain number of square feet are notable. Help decide if NJ cemeteries are notable if they contain at least three people with Wikipedia biographies. --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) 16:42, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Local Government

I tried to do my best to add to the page. I teach this at a N.J. high school and used Salmore's book and resources from Rutgers University to add information where it was needed. I also have in many local, county and state officials to talk to my students about local and state government. I drew on their experiences to flesh this out too. Please let me know what you think of what I did. Kdennis78 (talk) 21:28, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mayors of locations in New Jersey

A decision is being made as to whether we can have lists of mayors at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Mayors of Wildwood, New Jersey. The question is whether 1. incomplete lists of mayors need to be deleted, or 2. whether they should be merged into the parent article on the location with a redirect, based on the current size and completeness of the list, or 3. be mantained as standalone lists. There are also several mayors of New Jersey being deleted. See: William W. Bennett and David Hoagland Slayback and Maryanne Connelly and Carl Bergmanson and Timothy Dougherty and Peter Hood Ballantine Cumming. Please make your own decisions based on policy and available references. Where appropriate please look for addition biographical material and references. See for example Mayors of Teaneck, New Jersey for a complete list fully formatted. It was nominated for deletion twice this week. See also Mayors of Rumson, New Jersey for an example that can be sorted by party affiliation. The best option for short biographies is to merge them into the lists of mayors, but that has to be done prior to deletion or the information is lost. --RAN (talk) 06:05, 17 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Notice from the Portals WikiProject

WikiProject Portals is back!

The project was rebooted and completely overhauled on April 17th, 2018. Its goals are to revitalize the entire portal system, make building and maintaining portals easier, support the ongoing improvement of portals and the editors dedicated to this, and design the portals of the future.

As of May 2nd, 2018, membership is at 60 editors, and growing. You are welcome to join us.

There are design initiatives for revitalizing the portals system as a whole, and for improving each component of portals. So far, 2 new dynamic components have been developed: Template:Transclude lead excerpt and Template:Transclude random excerpt.

Tools are provided for building and maintaining portals, including automated portals that update themselves in various ways.

And, if you are bored and would like something to occupy your mind, we have a wonderful task list.

From your friendly neighborhood Portals WikiProject. Hope to see you there. Sincerely,    — The Transhumanist   07:39, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
