Suggestion
Under the heading "topics", how about changing "Fungi species" to "Fungal lists", so you won't have to write "list of" for each one. Also, include List of Scleroderma species and List of mycology journals. Most names will need to be italicized. Sasata (talk) 23:43, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Need link to entomopathogenic and other fungi used in crop protection - becoming increasingly important. Why was Metarhizium rated as "low importance" I wonder? Roy Bateman (talk) 16:21, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry, I default-rate new species articles as low-importance, have now rerated as mid-importance. Hope to see these entomopathogenic articles grow, will help out if I can. Sasata (talk) 17:16, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
- There was already a link in the "topics" section- if you want higher profile linking on the portal page, it would be best if you worked some of the topics to good or featured status, or had some of them feature on did you know. J Milburn (talk) 16:41, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

Notice from the Portals WikiProject
WikiProject Portals is back!
The project was rebooted and completely overhauled on April 17th, 2018. Its goals are to revitalize the entire portal system, make building and maintaining portals easier, support the ongoing improvement of portals and the editors dedicated to this, and design the portals of the future.
As of May 2nd, 2018, membership is at 60 editors, and growing. You are welcome to join us.
There are design initiatives for revitalizing the portals system as a whole, and for improving each component of portals. So far, 2 new dynamic components have been developed: Template:Transclude lead excerpt and Template:Transclude random excerpt.
Tools are provided for building and maintaining portals, including automated portals that update themselves in various ways.
And, if you are bored and would like something to occupy your mind, we have a wonderful task list.
