Pierre Thiam is a Senegalese chef, restaurateur, author and environmental activist[1]. He is the executive chef and co-founder of Teranga, a food chain from New York City[2] and the Executive Chef of the award-winning restaurant Nok by Alara in Lagos, Nigeria[3][4], and the Signature Chef of the five-star Pullman Hotel in Dakar, Senegal[5].

Thiam is known for his innovative, rich culinary cooking style and for bringing West African cuisine to the world[6][7].
