Maksud Agadjani (born 1986) is an Azerbaijani-born American businessman and entrepreneur. Maksud founded TraxNYC Custom Jewelry in the Diamond District of Manhattan New York in 2003. He is also a well-known YouTuber who prides himself on the gold education of his viewers. His videos are designed to educate his customers and viewers about jewelry and investments with the added depth of context discussing their relation to history, religion, culture and social issues.

Early Life

Maksud was born in Baku, Azerbaijan where his father was a homicide detective and his mother was a journalist. Following the collapse of the Soviet Union, his parents moved to the United States of America in 1992 for a better future. As a young man growing up in New York City during the 90s, Maksud became interested in Hip Hop culture and assumed the graffiti tag, ‘Trax’, a name which stayed with him.

Personal Life

Agadjani resides in Forest Hills, Queens, New York City and continues to actively manage and expand TraxNYC. He is also involved in mentoring aspiring jewelers and entrepreneurs, sharing his knowledge and experience to help others succeed in the industry.

Career

On his eighteenth birthday, Maksud saved up enough money to purchase a digital camera which he then used to take photos of jewelry in the Diamond District (47th Street (Manhattan) with the jeweler’s permission. He then put these products on eBay and was able to start making sales. At the age of 19 in 2005, Maksud founded his own company TraxNYC and began to design his custom jewelry right in the heart of the Diamond District. Maksud’s humble business soon grew and began to attract the attention of high-profile artists such as Cardi B, Erica Mena, Lil Uzi Vert, DaBaby, Big Sean, Young M.A, Safaree Samuels, Snoop Dogg, Mark Wahlberg, Kodak Black, Busta Rhymes, MrBeast, as well as other celebrities[1].

Maksud’s YouTube following began to grow following his advice to invest in gold which soon went up in price. During the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic, Maksud began creating videos about COVID-19 and how to keep safe which resonated with his followers and gained him a larger audience. This naturally progressed into content about world news and politics. This then sparked the birth of Trax News, his vision of an independent social media news organization – For The People by the People.
