List of European players with the most matches and goals at major tournaments

A total of 4755 European football players have played at least one match at the men's 22 final tournaments of the FIFA World Cup and 17 final tournaments of the UEFA European Championship.[1][2]

A total of 2557 goals have been scored by European players in games at the men's 22 final tournaments of the FIFA World Cup and 17 final tournaments of the UEFA European Championship, not counting penalties scored during shoot-outs. 1169 footballers have scored goals at the World Cup or Euro tournaments, of whom 24 have scored ten or more.[3][4]
