Kazuha Nakamura (中村 一葉, Nakamura Kazuha); born August 9, 2003), better known mononymously as Kazuha, is a Japanese singer-songwriter, rapper, and dancer based in South Korea. She is a member of the South Korean girl group Le Sserafim. [1]
Early life
Nakamura was born in Koichi Prefecture, Japan. From the age of 2, her family moved to Osaka and continued to live there till she was 16.[2][3]
Nakamura made her professional ballerina debut when she was 3 years old.[4] She attended Hashimoto Sachiyo Ballet School & Jr in Japan, Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow, and Royal Ballet School in the UK. Since 2020 she has been studying at the Dutch National Ballet Academy in the Netherlands[5][6][7]
Career
2022–present: Debut with Le Sserafim
In mid-December 2021, while studying at the Dutch National Ballet Academy in the The Netherlands, Nakamura was personally recruited by Source Music's CEO Seo Sung-jin. She was a trainee for only roughly three months before debuting. [8] On April 8 of 2022, Nakamura was revealed as the fifth member through 'The First Moment of Le Sserafim'. [9]
Endorsements
In 2022, Etude House selected Kazuha as their muse for their cosmetics brand.[10] Calvin Klein selected Nakamura as their model to campaign for their Fall-Winter 2023 collection. [11]
