Karasht (Persian: كرشت)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Karasht Rural District of the Central District of Pardis County, Tehran province, Iran.[4]
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 1,528 in 399 households, when it was in Siyahrud Rural District of the Central District of Tehran County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 919 people in 255 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 1,785 people in 531 households,[2] by which time the village had been transferred to Karasht Rural District of Bumahen District in the newly established Pardis County.[4]
After the census, the rural district and the city of Pardis were separated from the district in the establishment of the Central District, which was divided into two rural districts, including the new Bagh-e Komesh Rural District.[7]
