John Freeman is an Australian politician.
He was elected as an alderman to the City of Hobart local government area between 1988 and 1999, 2000-2009 and 2012–2014, was the Deputy Mayor between 1990 and 1994 and was the Mayor from 1996 to 1999.[1]
Freeman was a general practitioner.[2] Freeman was a vice-president of Liberal Party of Tasmania but served his term as Mayor as an independent.[2] In 2002 he left the Liberal Party.[2] Freeman was married to Jill Christine Freeman who died in 2017.[3]
