Biography
Jodie Devos was born on 10 October 1988 in Libramont-Chevigny, Belgium.[1] At the age of five, her parents enrolled her in singing classes, which focused on popular music. When she later enrolled in dance classes, she discovered her love for classical music. In 2013, she received a master's degree from the Royal Academy of Music in London. The following year, she entered the Queen Elisabeth Competition and went on to win second prize. Later in 2014, she joined the ensemble at the Opéra-Comique in Paris. Thereafter, she performed in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, India, Canada, the United States and Brazil. She released three solo albums: Offenbach - Colorature in 2019, And Love Said in 2021,[2][3][4] and Bijout perdu in 2022.[5]
Devos died from breast cancer in Paris on 16 June 2024, at the age of 35.[1][6]
