On July 26, 2016, Grindmother released a cover of Sepultura's "Slave New World" via Decibel.[7] Sepultura noted the cover on their Facebook page saying, "Yesterday, in Brazil, we celebrated the Grandparents Day and look what we've found: a Slave New World version sung by a grandmother of 67 years old! She's from a grindcore band called The Grindmother. You can read a little bit more about The Grindmother in a article published by Decibel Magazine."[citation needed]
Grindmother has played live with her band 28 times, with dates in Germany, Japan, Canada and the US.[as of?]
