Ganjevan (Persian: گنجوان), also Romanized as Ganjevān; also known as Kanjavān,[3] is a village in, and the former capital of, Boli Rural District[4] of Boli District, Chavar County, Ilam province, Iran, serving as capital of the district. The capital of the rural district was transferred to the village of Chaman-e Seyyed Mohammad.[5] Ganjevan is populated by Kurds.[6]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 349 in 82 households, when it was in the former Chavar District of Ilam County.[7] The following census in 2011 counted 378 people in 83 households.[8] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 292 people in 80 households; it was the largest village in its rural district.[2]

In November 2019, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Chavar County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Chavar as its capital and only city.[5]
