Forshki Rural District (Persian: دهستان فرشکی) is in Chukam District of Khomam County, Gilan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Forshki-ye Chukam,[2] whose population at the time of the 2016 National Census was 1,000 in 330 households.[3]

History

In August 2019, the former Khomam District was separated from Rasht County, in order to establish Khomam County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Khomam as its capital and only city. Forshki Rural District was created in the new Chukam District.[2] In March 2023, the village of Bala Mahalleh-ye Chukam in Chukam District was elevated to the status of a city as Chukam.[4]
