Firuzabad (Persian: فيروزاباد)[a] is a village in Marhemetabad-e Miyani Rural District of Firuzabad District of Chaharborj County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the district[4] and the rural district.[5]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,539 in 331 households, when it was in the former Marhemetabad District of Miandoab County.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 1,741 people in 440 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,704 people in 508 households.[2]
In July 2021, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Chaharborj County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Chahar Borj as its capital and only city.[4]
