DescriptionAortic valve disease video.webm
English: What is an aortic valve disease? Aortic valve diseases are diseases where the valve between the left ventricle and aorta doesn't work as it should. Usually this manifests as either stenosis, where the valve opening is narrowed such that it's difficult for blood to be ejected to the body, or regurgitation, where the valve doesn't shut properly and blood leaks back into the ventricle. This video covers the pathophysiology behind these two forms of aortic valve disease, as well as important signs and symptoms.
