Eric Favors

Eric Favors (born November 16, 1996)[1] is an American-born athlete who competes in shot put for Ireland.[2][3][4][5][6][7][8] He holds the Irish national record.[9]

Career

Summer Universiade

Favors Competed at the 2019 Summer Universiade Finishing 10th in the Shot Put

2022

Favors Finished 10th Overall at the European Throwing Cup with a best mark of 19.70m.

He competed at the 2022 European Athletics Championships finishing 15th in Qualification failing to qualify with 12 Qualifiers

Favors Competed At his first World Championships in Eugene finishing 20th of 30 with a best mark of 19.76 failing to qualify with 12 Qualifiers Progressing fellow Irishman John Kelly finished 29th of 30

2023

It was a 5th place finish for Favors in the European Throwing Cup Throwing 20.66

Favors came 1st in the Division 3 and helped Ireland get Promotion at the 2023 European Games for Ireland However he did not Medal

In Eric's second World Championships Favors finished 23th of 37 with 12 progressing

2024 Europeans and Paris

Favors Came 14th two Places of Qualification at the 2024 European Championships one place better than 2022

Favors despite not getting the Entry Standards for Paris 2024 Due to Olympic Rankings Favors Qualified For the 2024 Summer Olympics

Favors has a Youtube Channel With 10.6k Subscribers. He posts videos such as teaching how to do Shot Put workouts and training sessions he posts every Friday
