Judge William W. Douglas

William Wilberforce Douglas (November 26, 1841 – July 11, 1929)[1][2] was an associate justice of the Rhode Island Supreme Court from 1891 to 1905, and chief justice from 1905 to 1909.

In 1891, he was appointed to a newly created seat as an Associate Justice of the Rhode Island Supreme Court,[3]

Wm. W. Douglas was born in Providence, R. I., Nov. 26, 1841, the son of Rev. Wnr. Douglas and Sarah Sarvyer J Douglas. Was educated in public schools, Brown University, graduating in rY'6r, and the larv departrrent of the Union Universitv. Albany. N. Y., troiri which he was graduated in 13ó6; received degree A. ltl. from Éíorvnioiir¿¡, l,L.
