History and expansion
Solita was founded in 1996.
In 2017, Solita acquired a Finnish service design company Palmu.[1]
In April 2018, a private equity company Apax Digital Fund announced it had acquired the majority of Solita’s shares from Vaaka Partners, a Finnish private equity company[2]
In 2019, Solita acquired the shares in the Ferrologic Group, the digital services consultancy operating in Sweden, Denmark and Belgium. Together with Ferrologic, Solita.[3] In 2019 Solita acquired a Swedish data consultancy company Sparks. [4]
In 2021, Solita acquired Danish company Intellishore.[5]
In April 2022, Solita also announced the acquisition of Danish IT consulting company Commentor A/S.[6]
At the end of 2023, Solita acquired a stake in Future Mind. [7]
In the beginning of 2024, Solita expanded its operations to Zürich, Switzerland.[8]

In June 2020, Solita won a public tender organized by Finnish institute for health and welfare (THL) for a mobile application called Koronavilkku tracking corona exposures, which THL used for the prevention of the coronavirus pandemic in Finland.[9]
Solita has also developed election information system for the Ministry of Justice in Finland.[10]
The company is involved in developing a method for creating synthetic imaging data for brain research in an international Industrial-grade Verification and Validation of Evolving Systems (IVVES) project. The IVVES project is coordinated by Philips of the Netherlands and involves 26 partners from five different countries.[11]
In 2022, Solita was named Microsoft Azure Data, Analytics and AI Partner of the Year for the second year in a row.[12]
