Newton School of Technology (NST)
Newton School of Technology (NST) is India’s first industry-led global tech institute. Founded by alumni of IIT Roorkee- Siddharth Maheshwari and Nishant Chandra, in 2023, NST was established to create a modern alternative to IITs. It aims to disrupt the tech education landscape with a vision of delivering cutting-edge educational experience. NST offers a Four-Year B.Tech degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, recognized by the UGC and AICTE, with multiple campuses across India, including Rishihood University (RU) in Sonipat, Delhi NCR and Ajeenkya DY Patil University (ADYPU) in Pune. NST offers an industry-ready, cutting-edge curriculum designed for industry readiness, primarily focusing on Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, setting a new benchmark in technical education and innovation. History of Newton School
Newton School was founded in 2019 by Nishant Chandra and Siddharth Maheshwari as an ed-tech platform aimed at creating a futuristic online university. This platform was designed to deliver a highly immersive and interactive learning journey to millions of students, equipping them with skills to seize opportunities in emerging tech sectors. The founders' ambition was to create an education system that not only imparts theoretical knowledge but also prepares students with the practical skills required in the modern tech industry.

NST offers a four-year degree program in Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence.
At Newton School of Technology (NST), the academic curriculum is meticulously structured over four years, each dedicated to distinct phases of academic and professional development. This approach is designed to provide students with a robust foundation in technology and equip them with the skills necessary to excel in their chosen fields.
Foundation Years:
- Year One: Focus on building fundamental knowledge in programming, mathematics, and societal understanding. Includes a Launchpad semester for coding or entrepreneurship skills development, along with courses in computational mathematics, science of living, and global challenges.
- Year Two: Advances in data structures, algorithms, web development, and systems thinking, emphasising practical application and structured thinking. Courses on ethical hacking, data analytics, and industry internships offer hands-on experience.
Achievement and Innovation Years:
- Year Three: Concentrates on core computer science areas like operating systems, AI mathematics, computer networks, and machine learning, highlighting innovation and problem-solving to prepare for tech trends.
- Year Four: Dedicated to entrepreneurship and leadership, offering internships, research projects, or startup ventures. Includes courses in finance, program management, product management, and marketing, readying students for the tech industry.

Admission:
Newton Scholastic Aptitude Test (NSAT)
Since 2023, the Newton Scholastic Aptitude Test (NSAT) has been the cornerstone for first-degree admissions at NST. This all-India entrance exam assesses students' aptitude and readiness for higher education. Notably, the NSAT employs an online proctored format, ensuring accessibility and integrity by allowing students to take the test from any location while maintaining strict exam conditions.
NSAT, for which applications are submitted from January to July, is conducted online all over India.
The exam tests the candidate's knowledge, reasoning, and analytical abilities in maths, aptitude, and English, and it is based on higher secondary curricula in India and abroad.

NSAT is a compulsory exam to be eligible for the B.Tech Program. Scoring well in the exam can help students avail up to 100% scholarship on their first-year tuition fees.
Personal Interview and Counselling
Applicants must clear the Interview, where an experienced admissions committee will assess their personality and culture fit for the tech industry.
Students who have cleared the interview round are invited for counselling at their preferred location. At present, Offline Counsellings are conducted in Pune & Sonipat (Delhi-NCR).
Scholarships
Merit-Based Scholarship: Eligible students showing outstanding drive and leadership can earn up to 100% off their first-year tuition. Criteria include high scores on the NSAT and strong interview performance. Early NSAT high scorers may get an extra first-year tuition scholarship.
Young Women Leader Scholarship: Female students with significant achievements in sports or clubs at various levels who lead or actively participate in student committees and initiatives, can qualify for a 10% tuition reduction for four years, recognizing exceptional leadership and drive.
Extraordinary Academic Achievement Scholarship: Students demonstrating superior academic performance and leadership qualities, along with active involvement in student committees and clubs, are eligible for a 10% tuition discount for four years.
Accreditation
Newton School of Technology's B. Tech. Program in Computer Science & AI is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Moreover, the Pune campus, in collaboration with Ajeenkya DY Patil University is AICTE approved.
Student Life
Utasha Incubation Centre
Students at NST Sonipat are provided with entrepreneurial opportunities to gain hands-on experience about various aspects of business, from managing marketing campaigns to overseeing supply chain operations. Additionally, during the course of the 4 year B.Tech program they have the chance to initiate their own startup ventures and participate in friendly competitions aimed at revenue generation.
1 Crore Investment Fund
Students have the opportunity to seek funding from a dynamic investment fund with a capital of ₹1 crore, strategically allocated across various asset classes. They can pitch their startup ideas to venture capitalists (VCs) and potentially secure funding for their innovative projects.

As part of the course, every student gets an Apple MacBook Pro for project and computer lab activities.
Global Exposure
NST Students take part in international study trips, global coding competitions, summits, and conferences.
These experiences encompass visits to events like the HPAIR Conference at Harvard, the MIT Computer Science Conference, and the Milan Design Week, among others. Furthermore, students have the opportunity to explore tech hubs such as Silicon Valley and Singapore.

NST students have demonstrated remarkable achievements in competitive programming, innovation, and global engagement, showcasing their talent on both national and international platforms.
- In August 2023, Murali Madhav, Subham Mahapatra, and Priyanshu Jangra ranked in the top 13% nationally and top 19% globally in the IEEE 24-Hour Coding Competition, highlighting their coding expertise.
- The "Hetero-Sapiens" team, comprising first-year students, achieved an impressive 114th rank at the ACM-ICPC Regionals that happened in Amritapuri in January 2024, showcasing their competitive programming skills.
- Throughout several robotics workshops and sessions, students have developed a gesture-controlled wheelchair prototype, an automated delivery drone, demonstrating practical learning and dynamic exposure to different realms of engineering.
- First year students Priyanshu Jangra and Mann Vaswani were selected as delegates for the Harvard Project for Asia and International Relations (HPAIR) 2024 conference, an opportunity that allowed them to engage in meaningful discussions on contemporary issues.
- India's first new-age tech cultural fest, Neutron Fest, saw a remarkable footfall of over 1000 attendees and participation from 250+ colleges. This student-led event highlighted the innovative spirit and talent of our future tech leaders.
