Submission declined on 12 January 2024 by Mach61 (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

- Comment: Though I don't have access to the book sources, I strongly doubt that a studio guitarist got more than a passing mention in them. Please correct me on my talk page if the books do, in fact, contain detailed coverage of Rifkin. Mach61 (talk) 17:00, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
Marty Rifkin is a multi-instrumentalist session musician and producer, most well known for playing pedal steel guitar on albums from Bruce Springsteen,[1][2] Tom Petty,[3] Jewel, Elton John, Glen Campbell, Hans Zimmer,[4] and Weird Al Yankovic.[5] He has performed live with Springsteen,[6][7][8] Beck,[9] Billy Bob Thornton,[10] and John C. Reilly, among others.
