Shivba Organization

Jarange-Patil gradually became known as the aggressive face of Marathi society. They became the District President of Jalna Youth Congress. He did due justice to this post; But when the James Lane controversy erupted in 2003, he fell out with the party. Taking the stand that there will be no compromise regarding Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, he resigned from the post. He founded the Shivba organization in 2011. This organization expanded to Marathwada.[4]

Violence in Jalna

Violence broke out in Jalna when a large contingent of police reached the protest site and said that Patil's condition was deteriorating and he needed to be admitted to a government hospital.[5] At the same time, Patil's supporters insisted that they would get him examined by private doctors.[6] It is alleged that when the police moved forward to forcibly detain Patil, violence broke out. Maratha workers accused the police of beating a large number of protesters.[7][8]
