The holy religious flag of the Maheshwari Community, colloquially called Divydhwaj (Hindi: दिव्यध्वज) or Maheshwari Flag. Maheshwari flag "Divydhwaj" represent the entire Maheshwari community. Maheshwari flag Divydhwaj or Divy Dhwaj holds great significance in Maheshwari community as a sacred emblem that represents the Maheshwari faith and its values. It is commonly hoisted or used by Maheshwari Community (Maheshwari Samaj) in Mahesh Navami and other religious festivals, programs, events of Maheshwari Samaj.

Overview

In whole World, the term "Divydhwaj" always refers to the Maheshwari community's flag. Divy means divine and Dhwaj or Dhwaja means symbol, standard or a mark of identity. The flag "Divy Dhwaj" is the symbol of Maheshwari culture and identity. Maheshwari flag "Divydhwaj" is a symbol of the lofty heritage/legacy of Maheshwari community and the pride of Maheshwari. Maheshwari flag represent the entire Maheshwari community, keep the entire Maheshwari community connected with each other, ensure the unity of the Maheshwari community, inspire the Maheshwari community to keep moving forward on the path of progress, At the same time, every Maheshwari person and Maheshwari community expresses complete dedication and devotion towards Lord Mahesha and Adishakti Goddess Maheshwari (Goddess Parvati).

Design and construction details

The Divy Dhwaj is a Maheshwari holy swallowtail flag made of cotton or silk cloth. It is a plain saffron-coloured (medium orange coloured) swallowtail-shaped cloth. According to the flag code of Maheshwari, the Maheshwari flag has a ratio of two by three (Proportion : 2:3). The Mod (मोड़), the holy religious symbol of the Maheshwari community, to be printed or painted in dark blue (colour code : #002157, RGB 0-33-87, CMYK 100-75-0-60) or black on the flag.
