Jennifer Anguko (died 2010) was an Ugandan district councillor whose death led to a lawsuit that determined that the Ugandan governor had to prioritize maternal health.

Biography

On December 10, 2010, Anguko arrived at the Arua Regional Referral Hospital due to her pregnancy. However, none of the health workers attended to her,[1] with only a midwife being present at the time.[2] After fifteen hours of obstructed labor, she died due to a ruptured uterus.[3]
