Ziming (Jason) Wang,[1] known by his stage name Jaylious,[2] is an Asian- American DJ & producer. Jaylious, an innovative electronic music artist whose unique blend of sinister, dark choruses and danceable beats sets him apart in the EDM scene.[3][4] Through his diligent commitment and creative pursuits, Jaylious is endeavoring to incorporate a wider range of musical styles into his creations, thereby enhancing his artistic expression and fascinating audiences with a diverse sonic journey.[5] Each musical composition encapsulates a profound and intricate emotional resonance that deeply reverberates within the audience, eliciting a multitude of sentiments and reflections that endure well beyond the conclusion of the final note dissipating into the quietude of the encompassing environment.[6] Describing his music style as "the Billie Eilish of EDM," Jaylious focuses on creating productions that stand out with sinister, dark, and grime vibes complemented by heavy drops. He plays multiple instruments, including the alto saxophone, keyboard, synthesizer, and various percussion instruments.

Early life Jaylious was born in Fushun, China. When he was 7 years old, he moved to Singapore with his mom and started his adolescent life.At the age of fourteen, Jaylious relocated to the United States. His passion for music has been a constant presence in his life, showcased through his active participation in school bands and his proficiency with multiple instruments.He graduated from University of California, Riverside with a Bachelor's Degree. Since he was just a little boy, Jaylious has always been deeply inspired by the idea of one day creating his very own music, pouring his heart and soul into melodies that would resonate with listeners around the world.He desires to impact the world positively through the healing gift of music by uniting people through shared experiences by making it possible to see our similarities, not our differences.[7]

Career 2023–2024: Early career Jaylious was an active DJ while studying anthropology at the University of California, Riverside, [6] where he was Fundraising Secetary of the Alpha Phi Omega fraternity.[7] During his time in school, Jaylious was working as a server in a local sushi restaruant. In 2017, Jaylious would receive his BA in Anthropology, later joining a pet food manufacturing company as an Executive Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer.[8] Later in 2018, Jaylious would start his career as an IT Asset Management Professional for Glidewell Laboratories.

Career Highlights↵ In June 2024, Jaylious released his debut single "Red Tent,"[9] marking the beginning of an exciting chapter in his music career. Alongside "Red Tent," he released two other songs as a preview of his upcoming album, "Sinister Sister," scheduled for release in early July 2024. The album includes tracks like "Something’s in the Water," "House on Top of the Hill," "No Spiders," "Sinister Sister," "Lycanthropy," "Femme Fatal," "He’s Coming," "The Carnival," "Intro," and "Hero."

Jaylious has already achieved notable recognition, ranking as the #1 local artist on ReverbNation and #88 globally.

Current Projects↵ Currently, Jaylious is focused on completing his debut album "Sinister Sister," a dark representation of his inner struggles and insecurities. Following this, he plans to release an emotionally driven album titled "Saturday," dedicated to his late dog, which will showcase a more heartfelt side of his music.

Future Aspirations↵ Jaylious aspires to connect deeply with his audience, using his music to evoke a range of emotions. His dream is to perform at Coachella, his hometown music festival, and to make top charts on platforms like Apple Music and Spotify. He aims to build a dedicated following and grow his presence across various social media platforms.

Personal Life↵ Jaylious draws inspiration from his emotions and personal experiences, often dedicating songs to his loved ones, including his husband, whose support has been instrumental in his musical journey. The tragic loss of his dog in 2023 profoundly influenced his music, leading to the creation of his first unreleased song, "Saturday," a tribute to his beloved pet.
