Comment: I'm not seeing significant coverage of the company in this article. Phrases like strategic shift aimed to establish a dynamic ecosystem and the holding focuses on nurturing their growth are clearly corporate speak and not neutral in tone nor encyclopedic in nature. GDEV Inc. is a Cypriot video game publisher and holding company based in Limassol, Cyprus.
The company has published several notable video game titles including Hero Wars, Pixel Gun 3D, Island Hoppers and others. According to Reuters, the company went public with a valuation of 1.9 billion dollars.[1]. GDEV now operates as the parent company and oversees a range of subsidiaries.
History
Holding was created in June 2023 and emerged as a result of restructuring of Nexters (founded in 2014) on June 21, 2023.[2]
GDEV consolidated studios: Nexters, Cubic Games and studios with minority stake and option for consolidation: Royal Ark and Game Gears
Games and Studios
Nexters operates Hero Wars [3], an online RPG fantasy game and Island Hoppers [4], a jungle adventure game.
Cubic Games operates Pixel Gun 3D [5], a mobile first-person shooter and Block City Wars [6], is a multiplayer shooter on the huge map.
Royal Ark operates Zombie Miner [7], a immersive tycoon simulator and Dawn of Zombies [8], online multiplayer survival adventure.
Finances
In its financial report for the first quarter 2024, GDEV Inc. reported a revenue of $107 million, representing an 10% fall from same period in previous year.[9]
