Express Arrow is an inter-city bus company based in Norfolk, Nebraska.
History
Express Arrow was founded in 1928 by Carl Busskohl as Arrow Stage Lines, originally delivering bread and mail, and quickly evolving to operate various bus routes from Norfolk, Nebraska.[1] In 1991, the company was absorbed by Black Hills Stage Lines, which had itself begun operations in 1962 with a route between Rapid City, South Dakota and O'Neill, Nebraska. Between 1994 and 1998, Black Hills Stage Lines was a member of the Trailways Transportation System, and known as Black Hills Trailways.[2] In 2005, Arrow Stage Lines expanded into Arizona with the purchase of Corporate Transportation & Tours.[3] In 2016, Black Hills Stage Lines rebranded as Express Arrow, with upgraded buses and a new website.[4] In April 2019, Express Arrow expanded service from Cheyenne, Wyoming to Billings, Montana two days per week.[5] Luke Busskohl became the fourth genertion CEO in 2020, guiding the family-owned business through the COVID-19 pandemic.[6]
