Dragutin Tomašević (Bistrica, 20 April 1890 - Rašanac, October 1915) was a ten times winner of the marathon race from Obrenovac to Belgrade and the first participant from the Kingdom of Serbia at the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm. Dragutin made a bet that he could run faster than a train and he did race a train in 1909 and won. At that time the train went between from Požarevac to Petrovac. Dragutin went from the railway station in Požarevac running along the side of the train. He ran around 40 kilometers and arrived in Petrovac before the train and waited for it at the train station. After the Olympics in Stockholm, Dragutin Tomašević began preparations for the next Olympic Games in 1916 in Berlin, but soon he was mobilized and mortally wounded in the battle on the hill Bubanj near Kula. He died in the village Rašanac, and was buried in his native village of Bistrica in the family tomb, along with his sports trophies. On his grave says that "he has been buried by his mother and his courage". In memory of the first Olympic Games participant from Serbia, his birthplace Bistrica and Petrovac na Mlavi organize the "Memorial Race Dragutin Tomašević" (10,450 m), under the auspices of the Municipality Velika Plana and the Olympic Committee of Serbia.
