Dr. Rajendra Eknathrao Vikhe Patil is an Indian educationist, social worker, and philanthropist.
He is the Chancellor of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed to be University) and the President of Pravara Medical Trust. He has worked extensively in the field of education.
Dr. Rajendra Vikhe Patil was born on 7 March 1961 in Loni Bk, Tq. Rahata, Dist. Ahmednagar, into a political family. His father, Padmabhushan Balasaheb Vikhe Patil, was a notable politician, Member of Parliament, and served as a minister in various governments. He is the younger brother of Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, who is also a cabinet minister in the Maharashtra government.
He completed his school education at Pravara Public School, Loni, and obtained his B.A.L.L.B from ILS Law College, Pune. He completed his Ph.D. in Medical Jurisprudence. He is a member of the Pune University's Management Council and has been serving as a Senate Member of Savitribai Phule Pune University for the past 25 years
