Donald Francis Shea[1] (September 14, 1925 โ€“ August 14, 2019) was a justice of the Rhode Island Supreme Court from 1981 to 1995.[2]

Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Shea received an undergraduate degree from Providence College in 1950, followed by a law degree from the Georgetown University School of Law.[2]

He graduated from Providence College and Georgetown University Law School. He served in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1946. Shea was elected to the Rhode Island House of Representatives from East Providence, serving from 1960 until 1968. In addition, he served as Deputy Majority Leader from 1966 until 1968, and as Assistant to Governor Frank Licht from 1969 until 1972. On September 8, 1972, Shea was appointed to the Superior Court as an Associate Justice.[3]
