Daphnée Mpetshi Perricard (born 21 November 2008) is a French professional tennis player.
Early life
Daphnée Mpetshi Perricard was born in Lyon to Ghislain Mpetshi and Sylvie Perricard.[1] Her father is a Congolese former footballer who played for FC Bourg-Péronnas and AS Saint-Priest.[2][3] She has two siblings, Ariane and Giovanni, the latter of whom is also a professional tennis player.[4][5]
Junior career
In April 2024, she won her biggest title to date at the J200 event in Cap-d'Ail.[6]
Professional career
In May 2023, at the age of 14, she received a wildcard into the qualifying draw of the French Open,[7] but was eliminated in the first round.[8][9] Two months later, she made her professional main draw debut after qualifying for the $15k event in Casablanca. In September, she reached the doubles semifinal of the $15k event in Dijon, partnering Lucie Pawlak.
In May 2024, she entered the main draw of the Open Saint-Gaudens Occitanie as a lucky loser, but lost in the first round to Aravane Rezaï.[10] Later that month, she received another wildcard into the qualifying draw of the French Open, but, again, was eliminated in the first round.[11]
