The Balkan Volleyball Association ( BVA ) is one of six zone organizations within the European Volleyball Confederation (volleyball Body for Europe ). The organization was formed in 1998 and originally had its seat in Orestiada, Greece. Due to the political situation in the Balkans, shortly after the formation, the organization needed to suspend operations for some time. Since 2000, the organization has been continuously active. It moved its headquarters on December 12, 2009 to Istanbul, Turkey. The presidency of the organization rotates between affiliates member states in alphabetical order. The organization organizes the BVA Cup [2] ( club tournament for ladies and gentlemen) as well the international tournaments in volleyball at junior level. It also organizes international tournaments in beach volley at both senior and junior levels[3] [4] [5] [6]
