Corey Comperatore (June 16, 1974 – July 13, 2024) was an American fire chief who was killed by Thomas Matthew Crooks during an attempted assassination of Donald Trump in 2024.[1] He was also a project and tooling engineer,[2] and a veteran in the U.S. Army Reserves.[3] Hundreds of people attended his funeral services.[4][5]
Early life
Comperatore was raised in Sarver. He graduated from a high school in Freeport.[6]
Personal life
Comperatore was married and had two daughters. His wife described him as a "devout" Republican.[7] He was a Christian and attended a Methodist congregation in Cabot Church regularly.[6] NBC News described him as an "avid" supporter of Trump.[1]
