Not all statues are monuments/memorials

I strongly oppose including Category:Statues as a subcategory of Category:Monuments and memorials because, well, not all statues are monuments/memorials. Statue says, "A statue is a free-standing sculpture in which the realistic, full-length figures of persons or animals are carved or cast in a durable material such as wood, metal or stone." Just because a free-standing sculpture depicts a person or animal does not mean the artwork serves as a monuments or memorial. Starting a discussion since another editor insists. Not true. Is Mago Hermano (Brother Wizard or Magician) a monument or memorial? No. Is Running Horses a monument or memorial? No. Is Three Figures a monument or memorial? No. I could keep going... ---Another Believer (Talk) 21:05, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
