Someone changed a large number of category titles to include the name of the particualr medal after the category link. For instance "Category:Order and decorations" was changed to "Category:Orders and decorations|Order of the White Lion". This has no effect on the link to the category and appears to serve no purpose in writing it this way. Am I missing something? Alot of non-logges users are changing the category links and I dont know why. -Husnock 13 Jan 04

I think this category is at present rather messy. Articles don't need to be in both this category and one of the sub-categories. I will start a clean up. Inge 19:02, 27 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Civic awards

Is there a category suitable for listing civic awards of freedom, keys to the city gates, etc of Towns, Borough's or Cities to individuals, or organisations, military units. For example this one:- Image:Freedom Scroll DWR Huddersfield (RLH).JPG. Richard Harvey 11:47, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

One of the categories in Category:Awards by country is probably the most suitable of the present categories. The Category:Military decorations might suit one of your querries. If you are planning to create many such articles maybe a Category:Civic awards might be suitable.Inge 12:55, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
