Query

Is it possible to edit the big blue box at the top of the page? It says "It is is not part of the encyclopedia" where 'is' is repeated. Cheers, Nyoome (talk) 06:00, 26 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request

{{editprotected}} Please tag with {{wikipedia category|hidden=yes}} (Why is this fully edit protected anyway?) Pcap ping 15:32, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Done. As to why it is protected, you might want to ask the protecting admin, Docu (talk · contribs), because the explanation given when it was protected ("prevent removal of ni") is a bit cryptic to me. --RL0919 (talk) 20:49, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I assume that Docu was worried that someone might remove no NOINDEX tag on this category. (Not only do the articles need to be noindexed, but also this category for otherwise they might show up in search results.) However I don't believe his fear is justified; there seems to be no evidence that this was problematic in the past. So I have reduced the protection to semi. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 09:42, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
User:MSGJ was right that is what was meant, as was User:Docu, the NOINDEX was removed. Curiously none of those claiming that allowing these items to be indexed was the gravest wikicrime imaginable noticed. All the best, Rich Farmbrough, 23:17, 25 March 2014 (UTC).[reply]

Edit request 2

{{editprotected}} Please add [[sv:Sidor med NOINDEX]]. /NH (talk) 06:54, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Or, even better, unprotect the page (see above). /NH (talk) 06:57, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected. Please add the interwiki yourself. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 09:43, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Talk pages and such

It would be less puzzling if it was explained that certain types of pages, like talk pages, are automatically noindexed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.61.180.106 (talk) 18:24, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
