National Association clubs

25 clubs fielded 50 teams in the five National Association (NAPBBP or NA) seasons. Six of the 25 clubs became six of eight charter members of the NL and the other 19 are not recognized as major by MLB.

At the moment, there are 24 "players by team" subcategories in Category:National Association baseball players of which one combines two distinct clubs (Washington Nationals 1872 and 1875); three combine their clubs NA and NL seasons (Chicago, Hartford, and New York Mutuals); twenty cover their clubs NA seasons precisely (albeit perhaps thinly or unreliably). --P64 14:18, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
