Should this category include articles specifically about film that include film clips, e.g. History_of_animation and similar? -- phoebe / (talk to me) 23:03, 29 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I would think yes, unless the function of this Category is for something that requires a more narrow definition. Eventually I hope that this category gets so big it becomes meaningless because at least a million articles (en:) will be in this category. @GoingBatty: please stop adding the wrong "polluted" flag again and again. As previously said, this cat is only for articles (as the name clearly states), so if there were any other pages in it, remove them (I didn't find any), but don't put the wrong label on the cat. --.js (talk) 23:02, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@.js: Thank you for the reminder, and sorry for the continued problem. Many of the categories that start with "Articles" are added via templates, but this category is an exception. Is there a way to have this category added automatically to pages that have a video file embedded within them? It would be easy for this page to get outdated if such files are added to articles with adding this category or files are removed without removing the category. --StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 15:28, 12 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
