A concern
isn't [[Category:Algonquian ethnonyms]] going to end up a redundancy of [[Category:Algonquian peoples]]? - Μετανοιδ (talk, email) 04:46, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
- Maybe not. For example, [[Fox (tribe)]], [[Blackfoot]] and [[Delaware (tribe)]] would be [[Category:Algonquian peoples]] but would not be [[Category:Algonquian ethnonyms]], though [[Lenape]] and [[Menomini]] would be both. For the Algonquians, Fox are known by their English translation of their principle totem. In non-Algonquian tribes, there are other examples of the tribe's ethnonym is in English, French or Spanish (though usually a literal translation into those colonial languages): Carriers, Slave, Flathead, Blackfeet, Nez Pierce, etc. CJLippert (talk) 18:31, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
