Category:Flora of Alaska
This category includes the Flora of Alaska, in Subarctic America. It includes flora taxa that are native to Alaska. Taxa of the lowest rank are always included. Higher taxa are included only if endemic. For the purposes of this category, "Alaska" is defined in accordance with the World Geographical Scheme for Recording Plant Distributions. That is, the geographic region known as Alaska is defined by its political boundaries except for the Aleutian Islands (see Category:Flora of the Aleutian Islands). Include taxa here that are endemic or have restricted distributions (e.g. only a few states or provinces). Use regional categories when taxa have a larger distribution that is approximately coincides by that taxon's distribution (e.g. Category:Flora of Subarctic America) instead of each subordinate category of that region.
