The Cascade Party of Washington is a minor political party in the United States located in the state of Washington. Former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic found the centrist[1] party in 2024.[2][3] The party hopes to gather 1,000 signatures in order to qualify as a political party in Washington, however it hopes to not appear on the ballot in the 2024 Presidential election.[2][4] In order to garner support, it will collect signatures during Novoselic's concerts.[1]

At this point, the rules say that we need to have a presidential ticket," he [Novoselic] said. "We're determined not to be on the 2024 ballot and if that takes litigation we've got it all lined up.
