Leonard Bryan Bautista Revilla, better known as Bryan Revilla is a Filipino politician and the nominee of Agimat Partylist for the House of Representatives of the Philippines. He is also the son of senator Bong Revilla.

Early life

On November 22, 1986, Bryan Revilla was born, he was born in the city of Bacoor, Cavite, to Senator Bong Revilla and Congresswoman Lani Mercado. He has five siblings, including Congressman Jolo Revilla and board member Ramon Vicente Revilla.[1]

Career

Politics

In the 2022 Philippine House of Representatives elections, he was a nominee for the Agimat Partylist.[2] Agimat eventually won one seat, which was given to him. In his tenure as representative, he principally authored 240 bills and co-authored 66 bills.[3]

He is part of multiple committees,[3] including:

Political positions

Revilla supports the labor industry, the health industry, and the economic industry.[4]

Personal life

Revilla was a victim of multiple food poisonings, stating that he went "in and out of the hospital" multiple times. He stated "So what happened to me was, I started having fever going back to Manila. Then the next day, kumuha tayo ng dugo, (They [doctors] checked my blood) then doon natin nalaman na mataas ang infection, mataas ang WBC, (then they saw a high amount of white blood cells)".[5]

Controversy

On June 24, 2023, Revilla's car caught on fire on EDSA. Nobody was injured, but the fire caused traffic on the highway, Revilla stated "While this was a completely unforeseen incident, I am aware that it has caused inconveniences to my fellow road-users and for that I am sorry," he added that he was "saddened" by the event. He also stated "This is a reminder to my fellow drivers and enthusiasts to regularly have cars checked for road-worthiness, be vigilant while driving and be responsible road users".[6][7]
