Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre is a dying shopping centre in Edmonton, Alberta, at the intersection of Whyte Avenue and 83 Street in the Bonnie Doon neighbourhood. It has over 60 shops and services including Dollarama, Shoppers Drug Mart, Stitches Factory Outlet, and Safeway.[1] Former tenants include Sears Canada,[2] Target Canada,[3] Sport Mart, Blockbuster LLC, and Zellers.[4] It is managed by Morguard.
The mall unveiled plans in 2019 to be redeveloped into a town centre, likely replacing the current dying mall there. The project will take 20-30 years to be completed.[5]
History
It was built in 1958.[6] Back then, it was a strip mall with a fountain and a Johnstone Walker department store, complete with a mezzanine level.[7]
