Example of a woman doing oral sex where the Blowjob Eyes pose and gestures are visible.

Blowjob eyes, is a posture of the human head and facial gesture which references the prominence of eyes when a person performs oral sex[1]. Its name derives from what the viewer, usually a man, sees while a woman performs fellatio (commonly known as blowjob).

Blowjob eyes posture may be done as a way of inciting sexual arousal, or as an erotic pose, even if oral sex is not performed[2][3].

The posture involves an exaggerated tilt of the head along with the facial gestures the female human face makes while having a male penis inside the female mouth -- elongated face, droopy eyes, encircled lips, buccal fat pads retracted, cheek bone area sharply prominent, wider exposure of forehead, teary eyes, amplified eyebrow shapes, and in many cases blushed skin, moisture abundance and mascara running[4].

The term also refers to the physical perception of the sensuality or beauty of female eyes[5], used to convey an attractive feature of specific female eyes[6].

Cultural views

This pose tilt and face gesture had become more mainstream in recent years. Although its name is more widely known in the pornography industry, so much that there are awards given by the industry for "Best Blowjob Eyes"[7]. This perspective is known as Blowjob POV in the pornography industry lingo and marketing, and it refers to the Point of View of the camera in an adult film, where the main focus is the Blowjob Eyes pose and eyes of the actress or actor.

Blowjob Eyes is a submissive position of the woman[8], as she looks up to his sexual partner from below. This element makes it a term that conveys misogyny[8][9] from the feminist point of view, where female body is degraded with words[5].

Many marketing campaigns have recently added this pose where only eyes are prominent, to advertise their products in an effort to capture the attention.

In popular culture, memes are usually done where they cut out the part which includes the penis, showing only from the upper part.
