Basen Murmu (Santali: ᱵᱚᱥᱮᱱ ᱢᱩᱨᱢᱩ) (April 9, 1987 – June 8, 2020)[1] was a renowned singer in the Santali film and music industry.[2][3][4]
Career
Basen Murmu lent his voice to over hundred Santali songs throughout his career.[2] Some of her superhit songs include Kulmi Dare Leka Kudim Harayan, Chhemek Chhemek, Jivi Rani Tisem Hijug, and Alaak Jadi Nadi Leka.[5]

Personal life and Death
Murmu father's name was Naran Murmu, and his mother's name was Maina Murmu. He was married to Mamata Murmu.[6] He had no prior symptoms of any illness, Basen Murmu suddenly experienced acute pain. He was immediately taken to the Divisional Hospital in Rairangpur, where doctors pronounced him dead.[2][3]
