Andrea Zanoni

Andrea Zanoni (born 26 August 1965) is an Italian politician.

Career

Zanoni was born in Treviso in the Northern Italian region of Veneto. A long-time green politics activist and campaigner, he was an unsuccessful candidate of the Federation of the Greens in the 2005 Venetian regional election.[1] Having joined Italy of Values for the 2009 European Parliament election in Italy, he was elected to the European Parliament,[2] where he switched to the Democratic Party in 2013.[3]

In the 2015 Venetian regional election, Zanoni, who had failed re-election in the 2014 European Parliament election in Italy, was elected to the Regional Council of Veneto as a member of the Democratic Party.[4] Zanoni was re-elected for a second term as regional councillor in the 2020 Venetian regional election.
