- March 23 – Bolivian census of 2024[1]
- June 26 – 2024 Bolivian coup d'état attempt:
- President Luis Arce accuses military general Juan José Zúñiga of plotting a coup, and calls for a general strike and blocking of roads to prevent the coup. The attempted coup fails.[2]
- Bolivian general Juan José Zúñiga is arrested following his failed coup attempt.[3]
- July 1 – Bolivia summons its ambassador to Argentina after President of Argentina Javier Milei called the recent 2024 Bolivian coup attempt "fraudulent" and implied that it was staged.[4]
